  • First try on appointments are 90 minutes long, you get exclusive use of the studio, with help and knowledge from one of our stylists.

    On arrival, we will have an informal chat, discuss with you your wedding, any ideas you have, and talk through the brands and dresses we carry. We will then browse the rails together, picking out 5 dresses to begin with. This is a great number to start, as we can suggest others as the appointment goes on, depending what you are liking.

    We can help to show you accessories and how to style each dress too!

    If you fall in love with one of our dresses, we will then take your measurements, and order your size, closest to each designers size chart. We require a 50% non refundable deposit to allow us to order your dress. The remaining balance is then due within 6 months, or 14 days of your dress arriving in the boutique, whichever occurs first.

  • Made-to-order means that once you decide on your dress, we order you a brand new one from that particular designer, in the size agreed in the appointment.

    The most important thing to note is that made-to-order gowns are ordered to the closest numerical dress size or S/M/L/XL sizing (dependent on designer), based on measurements taken at The Aisle. The dress is not made to exact measurements, and in order to achieve the perfect fit, the bride must seek the assistance of a seamstress.

  • Our samples range from size 10-18, with most of the samples being a size 12.

  • Our dresses range from £2000 - £4000, across a range of designers, with the majority of our dresses around the £2500 mark. We have spent a lot of time searching the web / insta / trade shows to bring you guys what we feel is a good mix of dresses for a mix of budgets, from around the world!

    We do also have a selection of dresses that are available off the peg, at a discounted price. Head to our sample sale page to see our available off the peg dresses, or drop us an email for more info on these.

  • We advise that you start looking 12 months in advance of your wedding date. All our dresses are made to order, and due to the intricate and delicate designs, it can take a few months (usually 6-8 months) for us to get your made to order dress in the studio, this is before alterations are carried out.

    Some of our designers do offer a quicker production time for a fee, please contact us for more information on this.

    We think it’s important before you start looking for your dress to have your date and venue confirmed as this could massively influence the style of dress you want!

  • Yes, you must have an appointment booked to try on the gowns, this is so we can give you the best service possible. We want you to feel relaxed and enjoy the experience, it’s one of the most important dresses you will buy, so you deserve our full attention!

  • Like many other luxury studios, we charge £15 for midweek and £20 for weekend first visit appointments. This gets you an hour and a half exclusive use of the studio, with guidance and advice from one of our stylists who know the dresses and brands inside and out! Unfortunately when we weren’t charging we were getting no shows and last minute cancellations.

  • No, we see everyone by appointment only. As we offer a one to one exclusive use of the studio we do ask that bookings are made, we take all our bookings through our booking page on the website. Please see the link in our menu to book.

  • It is an exciting time looking for your dress, and we are sure you will have many people that want to share the experience with you.

    However we have a maximum number of three guests per bride, and we suggest you chose people who will help you make the best choice for YOU! It is a very personal decision, and sometimes too many people can make it difficult for you the bride.

  • We suggest you wear nude seam free underwear, many of our dresses have low backs so most of our dresses you can try without a bra. Any other support underwear you may want to wear is fine too! If you have an ideal pair of shoes with a height you are used to we would suggest these too - although we do have sample pairs for trying on.

    Please avoid wearing fake tan as this can stain the dresses.

  • Alterations are not included in the price of your dress, and we do not have an in-house seamstress. However we recommend The Bobbin, who are also based in Ilkley. (International Development centre, Valley Road, Ilkley, LS29 8AL, tel 07840 363650). It is up to you the bride to book in with the seamstress, and we recommend booking in as soon as you have purchased your dress - the Bobbin get very busy so it is best to get in their diary!

    You do not have to use our recommended seamstress, you take your dress to any seamstress you chose.

    Please note, we are not in any contractual agreement with the seamstress, and do not receive any payment for your business with them.
